The Art & Artifact project was born out of a vision for creating experiences that invite people to slow down and foster deeper, more tangible connections with artists, their stories, and their work. Presented by A Shared Humanity, the Art & Artifact project is a quarterly subscription box service in which artists are invited to create new art around a chosen theme, hand-select items that express their personality and inspirations, and mail the art and artifacts to their subscriber community.Learn more about A Shared Humanity
We believe that sharing great stories and experiences begins with listening. At ASH we invite our community to slow down, ask good questions of their fellow humans, and listen.
When we actively listen to those in our community, we learn their unique perspectives, hopes, fears, and experiences. At the same time, we also learn that while we are each unique, there is much we have in common.
When we are committed to listening and learning from those around us, we gain a greater understanding of what it means to be human, and how we can best love those with whom we are in community.
The ASH community is centered on the art of hanging out, intentionally and regularly gathering together to share stories and experiences with one another with the intent of fostering meaningful relationships and deeper community.
We love collaboration in the context of a diverse community, and constantly seek ways to invite creatives to gather together to create new art, stories, and experiences, and to offer it to the broader community and culture.
We believe we have a responsibility to care for our community and culture, and to create work that contributes to a world as it ought to be. To that end we seek to connect with and serve the broader communities in which we live.
